Propaganda and Misinformation takes effort and manpower. writing garbage and propagating it takes effort and its been automated.
The thing that makes me wonder is that our current journalistic systems cannot deal with it. Since its goals and objectives are for headlines and not ideal for the purposes.
My current obsession with Shared Documents (where we manage details and organize information where most parties can understand) makes me realize that somewhere there is a method to finance and execute a Information Validation and Supporting Information Tracking system.
Like most Common Good systems (education, security, law enforcement, infrastructure, etc…) it needs financing while being apolitical (it just focuses on Validatable information, supporting documents, etc…)
Information Management = the internet, data systems, traceable/validate information would be a new need to consider.
