A very Complicated IT biz puzzle for me, that normally is tackled by an entire Biz Dev section or squad is:
- costing Software as a Service. The complicated Infra-as-a-service (virtual servers) vs hardware and when one will overtake the other in under what capacity.
- designing a Product lifecycle – which means
- I need to be able to forecast how much something will cost at a given Capacity. Example, we start at 80 users. I need to forecast costs at 200 users. Then at every 20-50 users.
- I need the model to be flexible so that I can factor users who are: data entry and information processing, Field-Service and Sales/CRM (people who receive orders/assignments and give feedback about issues and accomplishment) and,
- I need this to be ISO 20k ready (IT service Standard), ISO 27K, and DPA ready. This means I build this as a system and Know already how I’m going to organize every process into “Chapters” or Knowledge areas/Categories.
- I have to be ready to write all of this myself since its Pandemic and we have a manpower freeze.
- Plan for Training – I’m one of the Trainees who will have to learn the App and Javascript.
- Transition manpower – Changing the job descriptions of IT who once compiled data from old Dos ERPs to Workflow Development and some JavaScript programming.
- Develop a Fortinet and PFsense and IPFire set of practices for clients who will need network configuration as part of the service.
- Do this all with Documentation because Honestly I cannot hold this all in my head, In the end of the day I will forget it because of the next Firefighting and I will always end up picking it up again ever couple of months.
I want to study blender or write equipment packages
