My Ideal Work Style: The German Cultural Work Model

My Ideal Work Method. I know the article oversimplifies things but here are my thoughts on the matter. 

Goal Oriented

One thing the Article makes little is “Goals” its actually a skill setting up goals and breaking up work. Its a real test of leadership, forethought and planning to do such and teach everyone to do such. . 
I’ve seen, in my professional experience and second hand stories, 1-2 people out of so many who are able to break things down to Tasks and objectives so quickly and communicate it (that means setting up the medium of communication with this). There is a bit of Management Engineering and Heuristics in breaking down tasks
There is very few people can have the consistency to update and follow up these. Attention Scarcity is the new Working Reality we have in this Information Age. Problems can be very complex and its small solutions can be overwhelming unless we break it up, and that is only possible if the complexity does not consume all our attention. 

Culture and Social Engineering

Everyone, in my experience, juggle and everyone fails – with relatively minor consequences. They always have minor set backs, and spend more time communicating because  people are more skilled in politics and managing perception than dealing with objectives. 
You have to have political savy and a lot of authority and power to move a culture towards this work style… and the current method accommodates failure better – its a softer landing when it comes to failure – and that’s what you are going to alter and you will use the same social engineering to achieve the other system.
The thing is in GERMANY, the german system works, because you dont have to deal with the more Political Cultures. Political Cultures are not all that bad, they create “Value” and excel in Value Creation. (no moral or ethical judgement on this because this is the skillful management of perception). While the German System excels in results, the other system is pretty important as well. One cannot be achieved without the other, and American business culture is the best in this. “Results” have value that can be altered with perception. 
Still having both is great, and blending both is possible but needs more work and more adaptive thinking. Managed Perceptions and Value creation: with Professional and Goal Oriented Thinking and the ability to focus and concentrate on efficiency.

Note that in perception: working less hours is Perceived less Valuable

My own Goals: Political Reality

the Reality is this can be achieved only if the Leader has the highest authority, powers, and can induce the cultural trend. You cannot eliminate the people who use the other method, you can co-exist but have those that work the both ways communicate side by side. 
As an employee you cannot perform one Style vs the Other. The reality is we will use blended styles and work with what we have, despite far from the ideal. We evolve a method based on our Political Realities. Which means, we work with all the compromises we can suffer lolz.
