Finished Pimsleur mandarin 1 (17.5 hours)

I just finished Pimsleur 1 mandarin.
I hope I can finish the second one and apply for HSK 1 exam.
More importantly I hope to find a group to practice with in my area after work.

According to my Email May 19 2018 is when my Duolingo subscription ended.

Time period between January 1, 2019 and May 18, 2019 (exclusive) equals to:

137 days
… or 19 weeks & 4 days
… or 4 months & 17 days
Between January 1, 2019 and May 18, 2019 (exclusive) there are:

96 working days (768 hours, assuming 8-hour workday),
41 non-working days including:
19 Saturdays,
19 Sundays,
3 federal holidays (US) falling on weekdays

Reasons I ended my Duolingo

  1. Buggy App. too slow, to respond. the 1-2 second lag was a pain.
  2. It kept ending my streaks. the bugs made it have more problems than its worth additional time wasted trying to fix the bugs.
  3. All my data is tied to the expensive 1 year subscription.7 usd a month for 84 usd a year. I found myself better of spending the money I already spent in Audible with the Pimsleur Chinese 1 and the rest of the series. I am spending about 21 usd a month on Audible and I already get the Pimsleur.

I think my Next Lesson: CHinese 2 will take as long. Even my frequency of Pimsleur increase near the end. Now that i have that increased frequency, my problem is that it is MUCH harder. I’m listening at 0.9 Speed to better think through the response and create the patterns and responses.
