Game in the Brain

One side project that will really help me in the Longrun is working with a Friend to teach him and study with him FreeCAD and Blender. 

The main Project I need his help is our move to our new Condo. So We’re moving from my mom’s 225sqm (x10 to get sqft) condo to an 80sqm condo. I will need to cut about 0.5 m^3 out of the 4 cubic meters of possession I have from my life.  This is pretty hard to do, like what do I do with the notebooks that may or may not possess sensitive information. 

So Nicco will help me Gather Data by Modeling our 80sqm Condo floor plan and in 3d. 

Reasons why:

• Control of Information. I come from construction and realize many of the problems come from the lack of control over the data – the Floor Plan and the requirements. Following Scott and Nate Wadsworth, the thought that goes into this will save us money and time. 
• To KNOW with certainty. We can see with DATA and Images why we cannot keep certain things, it is one thing to Conceptually know we cannot take it with us, its another thing to see with our own eyes reality that we cannot deny or escape. You cannot have Certainty if you cannot control information. 
• To be able to PLAN. Control of factors/information, certainty, and the understanding of the Unknown we are now able to make Plans. 

Basic stuff I need help with

1. Floor Plan in 3d. 
1. Detect Variances. There is VARIANCE from the floor plan given by the Condo and actual. Like the maids quarters says 90cm/900mm width for a bed fits, but when I was there I measured 80cm/800mm which is below any standard bed width.
2. Configure our Possession of how it will fit the New Condo. 
1. Determine what will Fit. 
1. Our treadmill and exercise tools.  Like my pull up bar. 
2. The Servers I will keep. 
3. Space for Study. 
4. Space for Plants. 
2. Determine how room Configurations will change: from Sleeping to Studying to Exercise and Fun. 
3. Bill of Materials. Track the materials and Possessions.

How it helps Nicco, to my Knowledge. 

1.  Master FreeCad and find other 3d Drafting Work. I know we have 3d Drafting Requirements in the Company, and I’m sure there is work for him. I remember the Draftsman is at 14-16k Basic salary in the Philippines Metro Manila. But nicco is a Multi Media Arts student like myself and we were tied in talent and ability back in college. Let him focus on this and what he can do would be amazing. this will take probably 4-6 weeks of part time work. the first 4 weeks on the Condo. 
2. FreeCAD and Blender. FreeCAD compliments blender because the workflow for making models compliment (the techniques cross over and you can create Models in one and Import it to the Other). With Blenders rendering I can revisit my rendering Training and work with him to make a Rendering and Scene workflow. What was just a Draftsman capability at 15k (300usd/mo) is now about 20k (400usd) per month. It will take about 
1. This is where I come in with making Atomic Rocket Inspired Ships for Traveller SRD. Which I will fund and then hope to sell in Drive Thru RPG. Give the GM tools that saves him time and effort to set up for his Game, and Create 3d Scenes for the Game. 
2. Tools that Make for a hard Scifi setting of 2100 or 2500 Inra Stellar Space. 
3. Equipment, Ships, vehicles, and Stats 3d. World Building Tools. 
4. Help find more Blender and FreeCAD side work. 
3. More Stable Work as a Blender and FreeCad Trainer, or Full time as a 3d Modeler. Hopefully combining my knowledge and hist to make for the Transition for a Company to learn FreeCAD and Blender for their Construction and Manufacturing.

Hopefully, I like daydreaming -its pleasurable to think of the possibilities even if I know that it most likely will not come true.
