Reading up on Dan Ariely’s Predictably Irrational, I decided to do some accounts. Its rather painful, particularly when I look the relative picture of it all in a broad sense. Anyway it is a must, particularly when we have expensive habits.
There are around 52 weeks in a year. This year, because of gun bans there will be fewer games. Next year, might have a lot of games. Expect seasonal obligations eating up 20%-30% available week ends.
Fees
- Magazine Loads:
- 300cap Php22
- 500cap Php37.5
- 600cap Php45
- Mag consumption goes up when there is a great need for suppression tactics. This happens in a very aggressive offense, like in the “Enemy-at-the-Gates” games where the marshal eliminates the rear-most attacking players at given interval. The same can be said about defense when the defenders are trying to suppress a larger force. Either way, both instances are similar in the rate of movement of either of the two sides. It would be best to assume the higher mode (2.5 mags per week).
- Toll Php60 (going there and going home, php30 each way)
- Site Fees Php150
- Other supplies Php70 (usually Gatorade)
- Breakfast Php70 ave.
- Gas for 40km Php120
Total Php663.75 per game.
Assuming a conservative 34 week-ends per year, About ~Php22,567 a year in gaming expenses. I have a kid on the way, so I guess its the responsible thing to do. It will take a while for everything to sink in.
