I don’t know when the Projects will end. I don’t know when I’ll have the free time to “prove” I can learn any system and take the Sysadmin Training. I want to be able to spend 3-4 months just completely focused on setting up several virtual servers and documenting my experience. I want to explain each and every step and my limited reasoning. I want to have people look at what I did and either ask: Why did I think this? And to criticize it for giving me ideas of different methods. I’ll filter out the noise.
I write what I do every day. Primarily these are things I don’t understand. I like letting all the uncertainties and flaws out. I know I’m giving knowledge away for free. Its a trait I don’t mind doing – but I also know most people don’t have the time or opportunity to listen. I understand those who don’t have time have better things to do. Those who do have time are those who, in the calculation, find this information useful. Valuing it means they have more at stake to verify it, to ask questions, and see if they understand it.
So today, I got a bunch of books, and I’m checking them out if they have what I need. If they are what I need, I plan to buy them.
I need to study how Databases are Setup and How they communicate with other Sytems. I need to study how Tables work and how I can have a DB connected to different Vendor Systems talk.
