Sadness and disappointment trigger personal change is quite interesting in that it’s like breaking a system with a Local maximum / optima that bottlenecks change and rebuilding again.
It’s rebuilding from the next strong foundations, sometimes working back a long way. Discarding so much Work – cannot be done unless we feel sad or disappointed enough to get over the Sunk Cost Effect.
In my experience, I find myself going back to the Fundamentals – Diligence, 5Y, 5W+H, Inquiry, and Rebuilding from there.
