Game in the Brain

 I love the problems I can fix in Space Combat in Cepheus Engine. 

1) My ability to make basic spreadsheets and basic javascript 

2) our ability (with nicco) to design a 2-page helpful guide for players – a Diagram for Players to place their Tokens to show what they are doing, and to Indicate Effects. 1 page so that the GM doesn’t have to FLIP through pages to memorize everything. Heck it looks like a fun board game. Randomly generate the Encounter and you can have Sessions where PCs just fight other ships for fun with armed Merchant Traders, Couriers, and Scouts. 

Its so funny that there is a HUGE CHUNK of the CE Space Combat missing. 

Its so fun to think about fixing it with Blender, Spreadsheets, Macros, and making people like me spend 10+ USD ona  product that gives me everything to create  ton of material in a short time. (Ships is planned to be just like World Generation – 10usd starting price but gets better and more expensive  – early adoptors get all the bonuses and the new adoptors help fund the more ambitious add ons). 

Making a New Version of the Book is need to Recoup additional Income from the Customers. I don’t like this strategy – I want more VALUE – you buy portions you like. 

In the end of the Year we want X amount of USD per customer to pay for the business as an ongoing expense. Customers want X amount of Value per year when they want it. The Coordination game of this – is that how do I have added value? Basically its a Mastery of Minimum Viable Product and requirements management – Getting Stakeholder pain points and Selling MVP solutions incrementally. 

In my case I want 44k USD of royalties (which is 67k USD per year of sales) for nicco and me. Its not going to come from 1 product but a system of products: fiction, models , tool, adventures, support, etc… 

I’m most probably not smart enough to figure it out given a couple of years and a lot of sales data. I think Nicco and I would need probably 20 products and 4 years of data to have a good idea. Even if I could figure out so much of it with the data I already have – I have no way to act on it if I am busy with my day job.
