Game in the Brain

 Nicco and I have our side line which is Game in the Brain. I dream that I can do this full time BUT with my family Biz I can help so many people: 220908 JUSTIFICATION OF OJT and SCHOOL PARTNER PROGRAM but if you understand that I have to write this and know it will not be understood or even READ then you understand then that I may just be broken hearted and just accept that I will probably do what good where I can in making Game in the Brain into a Real Company. 

I would be probably an OPEN SOURCE evangelist as a part time Volunteer work, hopefully working with schools. I am afraid my family biz will not understand me and I have a lot to fear because the indicators are there. Would you believe WE ARE AN INDUSTRY LEADER or significant if we don’t know whats happening in ENGINEERING courses around the university – that people didn’t understand what Capstone Projects are? Would you believe the claim we are “great” when key principles are not evident. 

Next week we are in talks with Ambibuzz regarding IoT devices for the Plant. Particularly to meet the Republic Act 11285 Energy Conservation Law and the many new Environmental Laws that were passed. I will be learning more about the LIMITS of Arduino and the various  ESP32 and ESP8266 based hardware design (Layout). 

I will set a meeting to include Faculty of UST and National University if they are interested as we discuss the devices that will allow us to use Regular Aircons for more Data Center uses as well. I am excited because growing up when Comfac was the business in my Dad’s garage I was surrounded by Transformers  being built, PCBs being acid washed, and welding and soldering. 

I never understood this. My father is a salesman, he was in his 30s and hired fresh grad Engineers (ma’am Juliet Capala and Sir Oscar Ruivivar) and tried to sell transformers that sometimes blew up in his old 1980s toyota. Maam Juliet would wax on and tell us stories of those days. 

Back then COMFAC was called Comfac Electronics and didn’t know computers would be ubiquitous. Their original SEC documents thought computers would be Mainframes – they didn’t realized what computers would eventually be. 

IMAGINE 40+ years of Industry knowledge LOST. Oh my god – If I can save it and share it with schools, then it would survive me or my incompetence. It will find a worthy vessel, some Kid who has the right head on his/her shoulders to figure out how to make it all work and the luck to succeed. 

Although it may never be. I understand my family biz better than how much I get credit for, and believe me they don’t think I understand anything by the way they talk to me. 

I guess I’m just glad to be AWARE OF THE PRIVILEGE and the power of the knowledge even if it will be lost and forgotten. Like the many Industrial Titans that were lost in Martial Law. 

I forsee sadness and tragedy. and Work to change our luck. But if it doesn’t work out – Game Design is another dream I want to pursue. Teach science and biz admin and engineering principles in a Game that allows for this level of detail and in a FUN WAY. 

I’m am so fortunate to be the son of the business owners that dealt with Computers and Data Centers in the 3rd world of the Philippines, yet so UNLUCKY to be unable to make something of it despite what I’ve been through. Its a Train wreck that is always in the back of my mind. Lolz a technological Cassandra. 

Well at least the MICRODATA and modular center trend I was able to predict and act on back in 2018. But yeah, unlucky.
