Game in the Brain

The kind of resistance i got from having a repair mindset in the plant is “We cant do that.” 

Yeah dUH we cant do that. we dont have the vendors and the capabilities yet. We had that terrible wasteful mindset. Being the son of the owner I approach things like if it was out of my own pocket, its out of my mom’s pocket so i kinda feel the values of my mom as regard to spending. 

If we never ADDED capabilities when ever the need arose – good luck surviving! 

One of the weirdest things I encountered. 

There are people in the world so averse to learning that it is unthinkable. 

My personal growth story of what I didnt know and what I learned is pretty documented and it will never end. what will probably change as I get older is the relearning skills that i dont practice so often. 

Still to be so old that I cannot learn would be so scary. there is a probablity I will be busy just relearning everything I forgot because the inherent dementia that exists in the men of my mother’s side. but its still actively fighting the dementia. 

thats one of there reasons I study Chinese – its so ALIEN to my programming and language that it may be the crucial element that is not found in my family tree – non of my family of both father and mother side took to languages. 

If I can smash my head onto Mandarin I can learn new Manufacturing Ideals, troubleshoot problems in the Plant and the Quality Management System, and be able to investigate problem. The same skillset I use fixing problems in IT, at home, and in other disciplines. Problem solving is a Skill that can be learned regardless of Ability. 

We have a long way to go. ONE of the most crucial things I notice many Biz cant do is learn Problem Solving. From Globe putting Dark Patterns in my way to change my phone plan from 999 (20usd) to 599 (12usd) and the Customer Support experience I had where they cannot find my filing and they only gave me a TICKET number they could not find in their system, to how many Filipino vendors really just are not capable of supporting the products they sell and how unready they are to fix any issues with it. 

Problem solving is so much Uncertainty and the FAITH or Hopeful Optimism that our problem solving capabilities – the philosophical razors will show the most likely thesis with enough diligence and thoroughness. 

I guess my Morbid Obsessions, contemplating death and fragility of life as well as how I can wake up so broken that I may not be functional makes me think how lucky I am to be able to still function. to be able to think and problem solve. To be able to fail and fail over and over again is a blessing when I can still try, as compared to an existence that I cannot try – that there is nothing left for me. 

Writing Update: MNEME World Builder

I have to do some duties + exercise + mandarin + work studies + my wandering attention then I can get back to focus on my writing. I promised that I will hold off any of my Audible (Project Hail Mary, The Artifact by Christian Cameron) and others until I publish. Ive also saved up about 200usd to finish the Book in addition to my other tasks. Note all my Sales will never amount to 20% of my investment its really just for me. My Spend today is about 300usd. 

This is looking like it would be 30-40 pages with a lot of DIAGRAMS. I think it would be something a 10 year old or a Grade school teacher would find good for their students. Particularly the creation of the solar system exercise. 

I also have to pay nicco to clean up my Spreadsheets for sharing. Nicco used to work for IBM as the people who would prepare all the marketing and training materials. I want our book to come out with all the tools to make it easy to use as well as a Video of Me and Nicco using the system – We were both Multi Media Arts students in College of Saint Benild – so we both are trained in video editing and making short video stories (although we will both be using KDen-Live or Open Shot).  

MNEME ship builder is on Hold until I finish the World Builder. In a Precedent diagram – the features of More realistic ship builder is not appreciatable unless you have a MAP or Solar System to explore. the World Builder is a Precedent Activity or Mandatory dependency because it is something you can use in the Current Traveller when you realize that Thrust-1 to 5 ships can only travell so far in a Solar System. When it comes to Outer Solar System >40AU it will take as much time and it would be better to JUMP. 

Bascially the SCALE of a Solar System is SO HUGE that it is like a Continent in a Fantasy TRPG that there is so much to explore even when you have INFINITE delta-V. 

Improving on GURPS Space, Traveller, and other such material and helping make the Terms and Definition easier to align with the basic definitions in Wikipedia is helpful. 

With this Solar System Builder its possible to make a lot of HUGE solar systems littered with ANCIENT tech – Automated Megaprojects that we running before the Ancients disappeared. The solar Systems – easily 400AU to a Light Years of area Explorable. 

Imagining the Automated Drones Swarms still active in the Outer Solar System creating various projects – creating planetoids for micro-jump anchors/points, to harvesting a hot jupiter, brown dwarf, or captured rogue planet. 

Yeah I’m the Plant and IT director, but a family biz is subject to the tides of fate. Covid closed many biz and System thinkers like me are disposable – in light of how the candidate with System Thinking and Adminstrative capability is slandered by Troll farms and how many are suckered into the poorly reasoned arguments – I’ve accepted that while humanity is capable of so much greatness and compassion it is so fragile and vices and dark patterns win out . I may love people and their capability to do good, but if they are under the wrong circumstances I am aware of their capability to hurt and harm me. Painfully watching them afflict others with pain, waiting for the circumstance I can help but knowing in most circumstances I am just a powerless witness to their weakness. 

If I had reserves and the ability I would rather write and develope with Nicco and other artists and writers such material to build their world and play harder and harder Scifi.
