Getting back to Mindfulness Studies

Getting Back to the Science of Mindfulness.

Why I do have challenges with this is that I do this while Multi-Tasking and it asks me to be “Present” in many of the parts of this audiobook.

I had a talk with someone who is in the same boat as me, particularly about their family business and I feel better when I found out he had the same challenges when communicating classic Management Engineering to their organization.

Lessons Learned

  1. Projects should have a Scope of 2 weeks, with weekly Tops. The more Projects in my monitoring list, the longer the intervals of monitoring. This is because I’m learning how slow I really am in processing things. i have to delay and defer uncritical problems and remove as much WIP from my pipeline.
  2. Every Project should have a SMALL scope but a usable scope. Whatever project we undertake, we have to be using it otherwise we cannot build up greater levels of complexity.*
  3. Changed my exercise routine (Sciatica Stretching ) to just meditate and do the concentration exercise where I bring my mind back into focus about the sensations of the stretching.
  4. Its all WIP and we are accumulating WIP but as an organization, we refuse to pay the real cost. So we take on technical debt. As much a Mindfulness sounds great and I want to Dalai Lama and 4 hours of concentration exercise – I’m anchored to the material world and need to study and take care of my health.
