seeing a work email and wanting to kick someone’s ass so bad. Its not something so technical – its simple roles and responsibility – if our team is in charge of the Physical Side – then why are we configuring the Public IPs? When I ask “Who is in charge of the XXXXXX UTM?” I get a non-answer.
Its Ok, they are pretty much a Supplier, I will fucking take my business elsewhere. 3 MONTHS i’ve been planning this migration, and in the LAST Minute i find out HE’S supposed to be the one to have planned this 3 Months ago!!! he was the FUCKING process owner.
The Cavalry has arrived, my reinforcements will take care of some of the aspects which I could not have handled alone. Calvary who are veterans to Hostile ITs.
The more I learned about ITIL and ISO/IEC 20k the more I really want to kick that person’s ass physically. It’s one thing to drift from problem to problem in IT without any structure, it’s another when You know the best practice, you know what happens when we don’t exercise due care and diligence, and the asshole still acts like an ass.
I even made a FUcking Gantt and I didn’t know all the factors and I was asking and no one answered and I was juggling PLANT and our surveillance Audit. That ass let me do his FUCKING job and didn’t hear a Peep!!! FUCK!
Right now an IP is down, and if the Client Complains I’ll fucking issue a Notice to Explain.
Flash backs of sleepless nights guarding the IT against bringing the system down during the handover/takeover. We were doing 60 hour weeks rotating through the weekends. Fully paranoid. I know most IT departments are in such mess it looks like Enemy action but lessons learned and I dont want to go back to that.
Its probably 2021 or 2022 when I’ve scheduled getting around to Network+ certification. After reading the scope of RHEL Training it should be enough, which i hope to take by April or May 2020.
