NPCR’s Accent is a REALLY BIG HURDLE to get over.

The difference between the accents of NPCR reader and some of my material is really strong. One is really designed for non-chinese listeners by the enunciation. One is more natural but very difficult to make out – i had to use 0.5 or x0.25 to figure it out, thats the NPCR.

Heck  – there is such a strong accent the words not pronounced “as standard” like Kan 看 was pronounced Ka which are two different words.

its sounds like the teeth are closed the whole time the person is talking.

Its basically asking to master stock phrases, because you can approach mandarin more of a conjugations instead of of words. If you approach mandarin and see each “Word” as actually a Prefix, Suffix, and Root word, (conjugation system; example latin spanish and tagalog) Imagining 的/地/者 as a suffix.  it becomes easier to recognize words when they deviate from the pinyin and i use the other words for more context.

Finishing Conflict Management so I can just listen to Chinese for the next Year.
