first time to get good sleep (7.5 hours) according to fitbit since Nov 4.
Whats strange is that my Chinese Score drops 1 night after the night i had a 5 hours sleep score. From ~70% or ~80% to 60%.
Its not right after a bad sleep, its a DAY after a bad night. It seems that the Memory generation ability for that Day is screwed.
Its just a very interesting data point created by Doing Chinese every morning and tracking my sleep with a Activity Tracker.
Also my muscle recovery, breathing, and memory all improve drastically for every succeeding day I can maintain 7.5 hours sleep.
Interesting data that may prove useful for me and my family. Analysis like this will always be second guessed by people who say “It should be…X or Y” Instead of just looking at the data points.
Forgetting that Average is a mental model and tool, not a Rule.
Statistics can Inform policy – but there are things about Human Behavior where averages and statistics should have a more nuanced approach.
The simple test of this is the Discomfort we have with % Risk when it comes to loved ones – move the line from 50% smaller and smaller values and how the acceptable risk levels for loved ones moves infinitely to 0 – even when in reality there will always be risk.
