So it all better be written down. A small pattern has emerged that any program or project I perform takes about 4-6 manhours just to get ready and have a basic plan and it proceeds to take a life of its own as more and more data is added to it.
So basically every program is a Skill or Knowledge that is very complicated but important to understand. Every document we make is a component of a Skill and we expect people to have a level of understanding that allows them to USE THESE SKILLS.
Some Projects that have Pretty much Complete documentation and expect about 200 manhours worth of material will be used writing and creating the material. Harold, the Process Trainer and the guy who is in charge of making our Makati Operation more “Knowledge based” has is own set of projects.
- Basic Work Documentation (mostly me )
- Requirements Gathering (mostly me)
- Basic Cost Benefit Analysis (mostly me)
- Supplier and Product Evaluation System (automation and how we document the entire history of a Supplier and Material; IT and me). This is what I’m using for the Laptop CBA.
- Charter of the Purchasing Department (mostly me)
- Charter of the Help Desk (harold and probably Rick)
- Product Design Department Charter (I drafted it, but william will add on to it)
- The Production Planning and Control Skill program (Lyra is the owner but I will facilitate)
- Maintenance Department Charter (until we get a Asst. Mgt Maintenance head, this is fucking on my plate unless someone has the ability to Put Thoughts to document).
- Basic Planning (mostly me, IT will help)
- Time and Motion of Knowledge Work.
- Time and Motion of a GANTT
- Budgetting (me and Finance department)
- Database (IT )
- Every Department needs to have IT Capable Process Owner who will handle that department’s Database and IT systems. IT will not be the process owner of Departments own Procedure when it becomes “High-tech”.
- This is very complicated
- ITIL/ISO/IEC 20,0000 Readiness (IT)
- Network Administration and Protocols (IT)
- Office Productivity (me, harold and IT)
- Excel
- Writer
- Calc
- Word
- Libreoffice Base
- Dropbox (I did most of this, but I’m still having challenges having an IT really study and take this on
