We have ebb and flow, we have seasons.
It boils down to – we have multiple routines.
- We have recovery routines, when we’ve taken damage and need to recover.
- We have high output routines, where we sacrifice sustanance and recovery for output (be it bad, minimum-viable-product, or perfection).
- Where we grow and strengthen, when our output is part for US (or ourselves or our group or collective) and part a means to an end.
Something tells us to Stop and do something else.
for this lets assume around 33-66% before some intuitive Schelling point kicks in. its ok for the scheling point to be wrong, we identify it as we learn. Sometimes the schelling point is PAIN, Confusion, Frustration, Optimism, Defeat etc…
- In workouts – we go partial power or partially as long, the rest of the time we recover. We measure our it all Output+Recovery.
- In work – we have partial output or we budget less time for the output, and we perform communication, documentation, research and analysis with the remaining time.
- Task, Chore or Project – we perform the tasks until we hit what we don’t know. then we ask about all the Things we Don’t know and should know before getting into the task. Then we plan.
Our hindsight is biased by our Present.
So we document. The better we are in “housekeeping” or using 5S to make our data accessible, the faster we are able to come to the optimal decision (given the information at hand)
