Goals of 2017

So I should be updating this blog more often than the others. Because in this blog I tackle: My work (and studies related to work), how I make time for family, fitness and exercise, and my studies.

Work Studies Update. I need to read books related to my Industry: Manufacturing, Management, Operations, etc… I will make updates on books related to work. this is going to be Work Studies Update. I hope to have 1.5 per month. Since it takes 10 hours to finish most extensive books.

Even if the books is way above my understanding I need to take away key terms to study and further break down into manageable topics.

I will need to refer to sir Boyet if my understanding is correct. Sir boyet is a well certified mechanical engineer and green belt six sigma in our company. He works in another subcompany but he is qualified to run much of the plants operations.

Documentation Update. I’ve planned to make a Manual for the company with the goal that upon reading this anyone can jump in and figure out whats happening and know what we need to do. In the future I will have to have my #2 (Coordinator) work with sir Boyet to check if my understanding is correct. Its good that we have someone who knows the answers or can know the answer.

Ideally my #2 will also make such documentation and my Work studies update as well. Implored, not forced.

I hope to update about weekly. My challenge is when I drive a total of 3 hours a day back and forth with the plant and do my GEMBA or walk around to inspect everything. Everytime I talk to someone thats 5-10mins of talk and I need to document that later on into actions.

Exercise Update. I will try to document my training update. About 2x a week. It will be in a Gdoc which summarizes the techniques and methods I’ve learned, as well as plans and objectives I need to keep iin mind. I will also involve my son in this, so he gets to learn how to maintain the habit on his own by example as well as to tire him out so that he sleeps earlier.

Chinese Studies Update. 3 things are competing with Chinese studies: Sleep, My Son’s restlessnes, and my Daughter’s diaper changes. When she’s 3months this will only leave my son’s restlessnes. When I can figure out a successful strategy to exhaust him in a fruitful execise then I can study and sleep.

Expectations of my #2.
Very minimum, hopefully better than my 5 year old. Everything he will do will be training and with a purpose to be reviewed. I’ll try to feed back 2-3x a week his work. I will give guidance in time management and performance level expectations. Because life will always have interruptions its best to document at regular increments so we can figure out what we were last doing lolz.
