After all the improvements I had worked out in my life I realized more and more that laziness is the most unhelpful way to frame a person’s problem. Empowerment, education, agency, and acceptance make people act with such vigor and focus, and these are very complicated solutions to an oversimplified problem like laziness.
When I see my own faults in my son or any kid, I know he’s not lazy, the way they are so engage and empowered in games just show what they are capable off when they can get a little positive feedback loop going.
Wow I just realized games are like those small virtuous cycles that when set up just right keeps getting better.
