Recent Lessons:
1) document as I go. Everything is overwhelming my capacity for attention. Its best to always document so that I can break it up into smaller pieces.
1.1) Revise Revise Revise. When i’ve documented and Broken it up – I revise a lot with the time I have. (this already assumes you clearly state goals and problems, and revise it until it makes the best sense). Revising is navel gazing or analysis paralysis unless there are goals or objectives.
2) Right page system for notebooks. Write only on the right page of the notebook and save the left page for additional notes that come up. I’ve recently improved in my ability to sumarize the discussion. Given how varied everyone’s communication style, this forever will be constantly improved on. Improvements come in new inquiry or question asking skills.
3) A more actionable murphies law approach. Always assume 70-90% of plans never go your way. because of that always have as much other compensating strategies or work towards having enough tricks to compensate in fixing those problems. Start with trying to fix one more problem, and more and more as one levels up.
4) For my child(ren) and people at work I’m trying to documented every trick I have in a working document.
5) Started Reading WH Weis Plant and Maintenance Deskbook and Learning a lot even if I’ve heard of many of the topics before. The arrangement emphasizes some key challenges in Manufacturing and particularly the Human Organizational Part of it.
Reminded of my frustration Case Study Style TRPGs are a very niche thing.
