Basically hung out with Gman to shoot in his back yard. I live in a condo so I dont have a back yard to practice on. Some Learnings
- The GBB Pistol needs to be sprayed silicone oil in its moving parts every magazine other magazine it expends.
- The Outbarrel Broke after about 10 magazine changes that day. The replacement Zinc Aluminum Alloy is 700php while the CNCed Milled Steel is 44USD in Ehobby Asia. I will try to buy the steel one next time.
- Gun feel is something I need to learn. Basically concentrating in replicating the feel of where I am aiming the gun by touch.
- At Home I just simply practicing bringing the pistol and its sights up a number of times a day. From various relaxed positions. Once I can do it consistently, maybe getting 9/10 proper aims from touching the pistol to something else and aiming down.
- Another way to be able to train is putting a laser pointer on the gun, and just training to make the red dot touch a target consistently. Developing the subtle muscle memory.
- When I can shoot, its focusing more the feel. basically now I have to apply what I learned above to getting the right “Recovery” from the recoil after having made a shot. Its not about Aiming shots, its about Snapshotting by pure feel and conditioning.
- More advance Feel techniques is Fast Draw from holster to target. Again by feel, shooting from the hip. Using a laser pointer to tell where the gun is pointing.
- The next is making a moving target. I know how to make one. I can have the plant make it.
- 2-3 magazines help in the training. Is speeds up how quickly i can go. Also secondary gun, even if it is a replica helps to continue training even when the other gun is serviced. Lastly, being able to shoot the real thing in the range.
- I now know how a precise gun feels like, after he lent me his and I can see it in action.
