Silver wires have a higher conductivity score compared to copper, this means less resistance. Less resistance means, less heat. Remember your toasters, they work on the principle of high resistance to produce heat. Thats why they are called resistance coils.
They are important to prevent overheating and electrical failure. batteries for airsoft are pretty powerful, and rough play makes them likely to have some problems. You don’t want excess heat burning through the wire coat.
Thats another problem with the gearbox wiring. I can’t use small copper wires because of the amount of electricity running through it. It will definitely overheat and short. Especially over time.
Right now I’m looking for silver wire narrow enough to fit my receiver and gearbox. Damn its hard. I’ve gone to even the hardware supplies for engineering students in Megamall, and they don’t have any.
