EDITABLE DECKPLANS

One of our Innovations in Game in the Brain is the editable deck plan. This is simply having every component be a PNG file that can be moved around in a PPT background.

This is how hard it was to edit the Nickelodeon, our 400DT subsidized merchant for Bobs’ Game back in 2020. I had to use GIMP and INKSCAPE to fix it all. Also it took me a Multi-media artist and TECHIE to make it! Most GMs arent that techie and customizing ships is a huge deal in Traveller and CE.

First, we were a bit radical – creating 3D MODELS of all the CE Ships, since these ships were CC-BY-SA and that everyone can customize them. I forgot that we were actually very rare: the kinds of people who can tinker with Blender Models. Thats not a bad thing, that means people would like our services. Anyway – so lets make this all more accessible.

The Blender tools were there to make our Ship layouts more rational, systematic, and consistent. These are all 3D MODELS using a setting that makes it look hand drawn. Nicco particularly used PPT instead of GIMP and PS. Which I found odd… but then the results spoke for themselves. Then…

It dawned on us. Why don’t we make the PPT file entirely editable? We can render each piece of furniture separately and just assemble them in the PPT.

Lets zoom in to the ships upper deck.

why can’t people who buy a DECK PLAN, have an EDITABLE one so that they can customize their ship!!! Why can’t the ship rules make this also easier (hence the Lifepod system and the Modular Seats in Mneme Space Combat)

So we hope that this can be considered a standard in the future. And people will like what we did and help fund our projects to make Games easier to run (hence the Mnemosyne Theme) and easier to immerse. So that we can make more tools for their games

so that one day I can sell more realistic Star ships, this one inspired off the X-33 – the OG before the Space X Starship. Detail all the wonderful ships and Space stations

So that we can make more of these that you will have access to, and modify for your games or books.

Our upcoming projects is Nicco is building a walkthrough of our ships in GODOT! that will be part of the MNEME space combat, a way for you to walk through the ships you bought and share it with your GM or players. Our files are blender, and can be easily imported in GODOT!!!
